The Delta Education, Health and Cultural Initiative, Inc. (The Delta Initiative) is a public foundation that exists to support charitable and public service programs. The Delta Initiative was established in 1996 with a mission to promote Cultural, Educational and Health Related services and programs through collaborative ventures which enrich South Florida’s diverse communities of African descent.
The Delta Initiative is a 501 (c) (3) organization that provides support to public service organizations by facilitating program development, offering technical assistance, and helping with fund development. Like minded public service organizations may use the Delta Initiative to manage grant awards in one of the following 3 ways:
1) Fiscal Agent, 2) Grantee, 3) Co-grantee. Interested persons are encouraged to contact a Delta Initiative board member for more information regarding these opportunities.
The Delta Initiative is a publically funded organization with operations funded solely through public contributions and grants. You may make tax deductable contributions to the organization through direct donations, United Way payroll deduction, wills, bequeaths and estate planning.
